Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time occupational therapy position offers the opportunity to work onsite within a K-12 school setting from December 1, 2025, through May 21, 2026. The role focuses on providing direct therapy and conducting evaluations for students in grades K-12. Caseload assignments will be tailored based on the therapists experience and preferences, ensuring a manageable and effective workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to support student development and participation
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students functional abilities and needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate interventions and accommodations
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- Active occupational therapy certification or licensure in New Mexico is required
- Experience working in school settings, preferably within K-12 environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads based on individual skills and school needs
